Abduction Of 14-Year-Old In Philadelphia Was Fake: Police

An investigation found that the abduction of a 14-year-old girl in Philadelphia turned out to be fake, police confirmed.

A 14-year-old Philadelphia girl was abducted Thursday, April 25 while on a FaceTime call with her mother, police said.

On Thursday, April 25, city police reported that the teen was grabbed behind by a male while on a FaceTime call with her mom around 4:55 p.m.

Police later put out the following statement:

"The teen has been located. She is in good health and back at home. Police are continuing to investigate the incident, but at this point in the investigation, an abduction does not appear to have taken place."
